Letter from the President
I look forward to serving as your President for the 2008-2009 fiscal year. Much has been accomplished by those who have served before me and I will try to keep the momentum going. I want to thank our immediate past president, Luther Lockwood, for the outstanding job he did in leading the Council last year. Thanks to Luther we were able to enjoy some special events the past two Annual Meetings – Hugh McColl’s personal tour of his gallery and the always entertaining Jay Bilas. Needless to say, I have a tough act to follow. I’d also like to thank Emily Crespo and her firm, TH Mgmt, Inc., for the outstanding job they did coordinating all of our activities and handling the numerous administrative responsibilities that go along with that. Thankfully, Emily and her team will be there to support us again this year.

I feel very fortunate to have the following Board members to work with this year:
  • Paul Kohut, Vice President
  • Kathy Habluetzel, Secretary
  • Brett Sovine, Treasurer
  • Susan McCrory, Executive Committee
  • Phillips Bragg, Executive Committee
  • Luther Lockwood, Immediate Past President

Thanks to their efforts we have an exciting group of educational speakers scheduled for the coming year. The mix of speakers should provide insight into some interesting and challenging issues, as well as some perspective on the post election legislative changes we can expect to see. I also want to thank our sponsors that support our ability to provide these educational opportunities.
