HREPC Mission: To improve the quality of estate planning services to the general public by providing educational programming for the professionals engaged in the drafting, administration and execution of estate plans, and developing a greater cooperation of the role each discipline plays in the process.

From the President
The events over the past year have touched each and every one of us. As the Hampton Roads Estate Planning Council begins its 39th year, our mission of providing quality estate planning education to our members has never been more important. The turbulent financial times have raised many issues and opportunities for our clients and our practices.

We will endeavor to provide quality speakers at each of our membership meetings. The speakers will cover a wide array of subjects, touching each of our core disciplines, law, accounting, finance, insurance, trust and tax. While quality speakers have become our hallmark, the true strengths of the council is its members and personal interaction that takes place between them.

As we move forward with the 2009/2010 calendar year, we look forward to a continued growth of the Council, both through new members and from our sponsors. The Council is here as a resource for you and your practice. Help us keep this tradition strong by sponsoring quality new candidates, spreading the word about the quality programs and your recommendations on how to make this Council better each year.

I look forward to seeing you at each of the meetings this year and have a safe and enjoyable summer.

Sincerely,

J. Howard Rodman, Jr.
President
